Old Empire opened its doors in the heart of Subiaco in 1993.
This dynamic retailer now manages 5 specialty stores in Western Australia, with an award-winning Empire Retreat, Spa and Winery in Yallingup. The Coleman family still travel extensively today to seek out rare pieces for their shops.
Nearly 20 years on Empire Homewares is still a leader in furniture and homeware design.
Empire launched its second store in Sydney in 1999 and in the same year Empire Retreat and Day Spa was founded. It was the beginning of the Empire philosophy – fresh, stylish and great design.
The store was initially formulated back in the 70s, when owners Perry and Jill Coleman had a vision to open a store one day with a lot of "groovy" stuff.
Perth was finally offered a destination to experience relaxed affordable luxury that combined life and style. (more).
