Why stay at Stableford Cottage Holiday Home? Because after leaving in Perth, WA for so many years and going “Down South” so often, well it made sense!

The first thing was: Why do we have to pay so much to stay there? It comes to a real budget at the end of the year. So while we did go camping during the first years and explore the Busselton - Margaret River region in depth, we eventually had our first kid, and then our second kid! While we love camping, we wanted to experience something different, like Air BNB and short term accommodation and be in a comfortable home, with proper beds, and a shower and toilet that is not 250m away :).

Also we wanted to ensure that the places we stayed at had a PROPER short term rental permit, and therefore an appropriate liability insurance cover.

Why is this so important?
Well because when your kid gets hurt in the place you rent, or damages something very expensive, you might only have to pay for the excess, and not the full cost of the whole Air Conditioning system for example!
Most AirBNB hosts don’t have a permit issued by the city council and hence don’t have the right insurance to cover your family when you stay in their place. It is a gamble – But we don’t like to take our chances when it comes to people.

So, at Stableford Cottage, you can stay with the peace of mind that if you happen to get injured or hurt while at our place, we have liability cover… as we have a lawful permit issued by the City of Busselton and renewed each year.

That’s when we thought it would be nice to have our own place, rent it to holiday makers just like us (and mainly families) with all the right insurance cover for everyone’s benefit :)

The whole idea behind creating Stableford Cottage is to encourage people to go on holiday to Dunsborough without breaking the bank: An affordable holiday home. The other idea behind this project is to create a home that is kids friendly, with all the things you need when you travel with babies and young kids like a portable cot, a pram, kids bikes and a bike trailer for 2 small kids to sit in, step stools, high chairs, a fully fenced garden, a cul-de-sac where no cars drive past so the kids are safe, an outdoor playground with swings for kids to enjoy being outside, some kids DVDs in case you can’t access the internet or don’t have a Netflix account, some kids books, kids cutlery, etc... You get the idea: a KIDS FRIENDLY home, which is also suitable for adults only of course :).

You can come without having to think about all those bulky things or bring them in the car when the car is already so full! Oh, last thing the house is a single storey so no dangerous stairs.

We really want this holiday home to be a place where people create memories and share good times with loved ones.
We want people to enjoy Stableford Cottage as much as we enjoy it, and enjoy the Busselton - Dunsborough - Margaret River region as we enjoy it.

Being ideally located in Dunsborough, Stableford Cottage Holiday Home a self-contained accommodation is very central: Yallingup in less than 10 min drive, Dunsborough CBD in less than 5 min drive. You can go to the beach by bike if you want as its less than 2km away, and flat.

Also did I mention Simmo’s Ice cream is around the corner? Just like The Clancy’s fish bar, and Meelup beach :) and its amazing blue waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

The location of Stableford Cottage is ideal as you are close to the shops, cafes, beaches, and the markets.
Forgot to buy something at Coles? Need fuel? It’s just a few minutes drive.

The house itself is in a very quiet area (cul-de-sac), with lovely neighbours and great views on Hole #8 on the Golf course. You can even access the Golf Course through the gate in the garden.

It is a 3 x 2, with a carport and plenty of parking space at the front. It comes with free wi-fi, and there is a lounge room at the front with a TV, a bathtub in the big bathroom and 2 showers. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed, the other bedrooms have 2 x Single beds (and an extra mattress if you need it) and 1 x Double size bed.

If you want more space you will find a sofa bed in the lounge room (converts into a Double bed).

Stableford Cottage is self-contained.
You will find all of the below facilities: big fridge & freezer, dishwasher, oven, electric hotplate, BBQ, washing machine, clothes dryer, reversible air conditioned (A/C) in the living room/ kitchen.

We have a Nespresso machine which you can use with Nespresso compatible coffee pods.

We have some basics available to you at no surcharge like washing powder, washing machine tablets, hand soap, tea towels, oil, sugar, salt & pepper.
